While the restaurant's food quality has been praised in recent reviews, there was a time when it faced some challenges with consistency. However, recent improvements have brought back a positive experience for many patrons. For example, the Darla burger, made to perfection, and the classic cheeseburger, though not the best ever had, still received good marks for flavor and satisfaction.

The Village Green Bar & Grill Reviews
We haven't been here in awhile because of bad food in the past but that has changed. A friendly bar and cozy seating area. We chose to eat at the bar this time and I had the Darla and my wife a cheeseburger. Both were very good. My Darla was made perfectly and my wife's burger although maybe not the best she's ever had but pretty good. A friendly efficient bartender and all in all a nice lunch experience. Street parking is sort of a pain but can be found.
Not a dive bar. Feels like a family restaurant that also has a bar. Excellent vibes. Good burger, chef forgot my grilled onions, but was great. Pretty decent sized, all served with a bunch of pickles. Hidden valley ranch was served with curds.
Your standard small town bar & grill, great staff, good drinks. The kind of place to stop for lunch and not have to spend an arm and a leg. Right down town easy to get to.
I was meeting some good friends for a weekend get together and I suggested doing lunch and they were ok with that but it had to be outdoor because they are still freaked about C19. This place looked good with good looking burgers and lots of outdoor space because it's next to a public picnic area if all of their outdoor tables were taken. The bar itself is an older one with a small bar on the right as you walk in and the dining room on the left which was empty because most everyone was outside an a beautiful day. We all had a burger of some sort and sides because the front sign said this way for the best burger. The menu is one page but it's well rounded with just enough to keep most people happy. $5 24 oz Edmund Fitzgerald taps were on hand but all taps were 24oz for $5. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with raw onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles. OMG did my bacon cheeseburger look amazing with plenty of bacon that I ordered rare which it was rare. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious with all the fresh toppings and thick slice of the raw onion, bacon in every single bite which was slightly thick and not over cooked to shatter/crumble style on a very fresh toasted bun. The cheese curds were average but still good with thick gooey cheese in the center and a light crispy shell. I also liked the chili even though it's not the best chili ever because it didn't have an overly strong in your face chili flavor with big chunks of ground beef and tomato's that you could sink your teeth into that was oddly satisfying. Was the burger the best burger ever, no but it's done very well which does make it very good burger to my liking.
